Call for Submission of Applications for Opening E-clubs for Women in Rural and Suburban Areas

Gender Equality Directorate, within the programme of realisation of the Action Plan for Implementation of the National Strategy for Improving Position of Women and Promoting Gender Equality (2010-2015), in cooperation with the international organisation International Management Group and with the financial support of Sweden, has initiated the project of opening 5 (five) e-clubs for women in rural areas.
The purpose of establishment of the e-clubs is as follows:
• Economic empowerment of women through association on local level, in suburban or rural areas;
• Strengthening capacities of local mechanisms for gender equality;
• Building skills and knowledge of modern business by using information technologies;
• Cultural exchange and support to women through development of their talents and promotion of female creativity;
• Linking with similar clubs in the country and abroad;

The project finances procurement of equipment for e-clubs (computers and other necessary information and communication equipment), as well as computer training for several women, preferably from rural and suburban areas. The municipality (gender equality body) would be responsible for the work of e-club.
The equipment procured through this project will become property of the local self-government (gender equality body) after signing the agreement between the Gender Equality Directorate and local self-government.
All municipalities which have established the gender equality body or which have an appointed person for gender equality can apply for this competition.

The competition is open as of 02.02.2012 and the final deadline for applications is 17.02.2012 at noon. Applications received after that time will not be taken into consideration.
The decision on selection of municipalities where the e-clubs will be established and opened shall be reached based on the criteria presented in the documentation for application. The list of selected municipalities will be published on the web site of the Gender Equality Directorate ( www.gendernet.rs), as well as on the web site of International Management Group ( www.img-int.org). All additional information regarding application for this competition can be obtained by e-mail to the following address gender@img-int.org.

Јавни позив за подношење пријава на конкурс за отварање е-клубова за жене у руралним и субурбаним срединама

Управа за родну равноправност, као део програма реализације Акционог плана за имплементацију Националне стратегије за побољшање положаја жена и унапређивање родне равноправности (2010-2015), у сарадњи са међународном организацијом International Management Group и уз финансијску подршку Шведске покреће пројекат отварања 5 (пет) е-клубова за жене на селу.
Циљ оснивања клубова је:
•економско јачање жена кроз удруживање на локалном нивоу, у приградским или сеоским срединама;
•јачање капацитета локалних механизама за родну равноправност;
•јачање капацитета у знању и вештинама за модерно пословање коришћењем информационих технологија;
•културна размена и подршка женама да развијају склоности и таленте и промоција женског стваралаштва;
•повезивање са сличним клубовима у земљи и иностранству;
Пројекат обезбеђује финансирање опремања клубова (набавку рачунара и друге неопходне информатичко-комуникационе опреме), као и обуке за рад на рачунару за већи број жена, пожељно из сеоске и приградске средине. Општина (тело за родну равноправност) би била одговорна за рад клуба.
Имовина обезбеђена пројектом након потписаног споразума између Управе за родну равноправност и локлане самоуправе, прећи ће у власништво локалне самоуправе (тела за родну равноправност).
На овај конкурс се могу пријавити све општине које су образовале тело за родну равноправност, или на којима постоји лице задужено за родну равноправност.

Конкурс је отворен од 02.02.2012. године, а крајњи рок за пријем пријава је 17.02.2012. године у подне. Накнадно пристигле пријаве неће се разматрати.
Одлука о избору општина на којима ће се клубови формирати и отворити, биће донета на основу критеријума представљених у документацији за пријаву. Списак одабраних општина биће објављен на сајту Управе за родну равноправност ( www.gendernet.rs), као и на сајту International Management Group ( www.img-int.org).

IMG has signed a Contract on December 24th 2011 with the European Commission for a “Public Administration Capacity-Building Facility” to Libya”.

The objective of this project is to contribute to the modernisation, recovery, stabilisation and functioning of the public administration in Libya.

More specifically, the project shall support the new Libyan authorities in securing stability through the stabilisation of key functions of state, addressing administrative requirements for the functioning of public economic infrastructure, credible public financial management, planning capacity for democratic transition and also preparing the overall modernisation of the public sector.

Activities foreseen include the following

• Training facilities, workshops, seminars and conferences
• Tailor-made training courses
• Provision of high-level expertise on legal, administrative and financial issues
• Institutional assessments and studies
• Possible exchanges and twinning with counterparts from EU and/or Arab countries in the region


However, interventions will be flexible and the approach will be based on a post-conflict needs assessment and the findings of a brief inception phase in Libya. Interventions will also be adaptable to the activities of other donors.

IMG has signed a Contract on December 13th 2011 with the European Commission for the provision of Technical assistance for “Procurement, Civil Society, Communication and Media support to Libya”

The objective of this technical assistance project is to provide immediate and direct assistance to address urgent needs of the evolving government and also to strengthen the Libyan government’s capacity in dealing with these urgent needs.

More specifically, the purpose is to contribute inputs to the Libyan Coordinated Needs Assessment for Civil Society and Media sectors and to offer a package of short-term technical assistance to the Libyan government and civil society in selected areas.

A mixed team of experts will be deployed, comprising both experts engaged by IMG as well as experts from EU Member States.

A first assessment mission of 4 experts already departed for Tripoli on January 6th 2012.

IMG signed a Partnership Agreement with Polish Cooperation Fund Foundation

CFF- Cooperation Fund Foundation , in the context of the Partnership with IMG agree to develop joint activities and Projects to increase mutual visibility and scope of intervention.

The Partnership shall be directed at conducting following activities, the list not being restrictive:
• to promote cooperation for further participation in joint projects
• to facilitate mobilisation of Polish civil servants in projects implemented by IMG
• as part of this agreement Polish CCF is joining the European Platform of IMG Partners
